The two pictures below illustrate non-standard installations done in the Colorado high country.
The top one is on a mountain outside of Breckenridge at an elevation of 12,400 ft. The pole is filled with concrete and he guy wires were added to prevent oscillation in the extremely high winds.
The bottom one is at a communications site outside of Vail. It uses Andrew brackets designed to support large microwave dishes and thick-wall galvanized conduit. When the picture was taken a broadcast was being installed further up the tower.
Both sites were very reliable and trouble-free during the winter of 2009-10.
The installations depicted in the pictures below are evidence that the WildBlue equipment is conservatively rated, and if problerly installed can be reliable under extreme conditions.
They also show that ITS .will support non-standard installations when the extra effort is required to satisfy the customer's expectations.
We've developed a tower mount solution that can be adapted to work with most standard towers.
